About The Event

Bring  the whole family to SOV for Back to School Outdoor Worship featuring a  "Blessing of the Backpacks." 

Masks strongly encouraged for all participants aged 2 and up. Please RSVP to slegum@sovls.org by Wednesday, Aug. 25 with your name and number of attendees.

  • Preschoolers: Bring your backpack or school bag for a blessing.
  • Installation of teachers and blessing of the classrooms.
  • Popsicles for the children after the service!
  • Bring your own lawn chairs and a blanket or jacket if it is chilly (but we'll have chairs to borrow if you forget!)
  • Shortened, child-friendly service.
