Close out the summer with the SOV Book Club as we read "Gidget," by Frederick Kohner, the classic novel about a surfing, boy-crazy teenager, who comes of age in the summer of 1957, inspiring both movies and television and creating an American pop culture icon.
The Book Club will be meeting for lunch and discussion on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Duke's Malibu, the surf-side restaurant popularized by Gidget.
