Held annually after the rush of “Black Friday and Cyber Monday” holiday shopping, Giving Tuesday reminds us to also share our generosity with our very own Shepherd of the Valley Foundation.

Giving Tuesday allows friends, former students, former church members, and others to donate to the SOV Foundation. Donations received through the Foundation support the church and Preschool.

The Foundation was established to support Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and Preschool. The Foundation endowment funds support the church, preschool, and Mission Outreach programs in the following ways:

  • Provides scholarships for youth to attend camp based on need.

  • Provides scholarships for preschool families based on need.

  • Recently contributed $20,000 to the Tiny Homes project through Hope of the Valley - just shy of 7 homes ($3000 per home).
  • Matches donations received to support our local food banks and homeless shelters.

  • The capital fund provides dollars for major unexpected equipment and facility repairs.

Remember: A gift to the Foundation IS a gift to the church, the preschool, and the community.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of philanthropy, bringing people together around the value of giving back. The Shepherd community celebrates this day with a 24-hour fundraising drive on November 30, 2021. Gifts made on Giving Tuesday support our cause where it’s needed most.
