Special Outdoor Prayer Service
Time & Location
About The Event
On Wednesday, June 24 at 7:00pm, we invite you to gather at Shepherd of the Valley for a special outdoor prayer service on the day that God's Church commemorates the birth of John the Baptist.
We hope that this evening together will be our first opportunity to "prepare the way" for an eventual return to in-person worship on Sunday mornings. When you arrive for our prayer service on Wednesday, June 24, please be aware that things will look different. You may wish to arrive a little early to allow for these new safety measures:
Because of new capacity limitations, please register everyone in your party in advance before attending by clicking the link below or by contacting the church office. A limited number of spaces will be reserved for new visitors. If capacity is reached during the pre-registration process, your name(s) may be added to a waiting list on a first-come, first-served priority basis.
We will mark off every other parking space in order to facilitate social distancing.
We are required by Public Health officials to keep attendance of everyone on campus (to facilitate any need for contact tracing later) so be prepared to wait in a socially-distanced line to check in at the desk near the parking lot. At check-in, we will:
* Confim that you that you are feeling healthy and that you screened for symptoms of COVID-19 before arrival. We will have a touch-less thermometer for temperature checks if needed.
* Ask you to sign a waiver. To save time, you may download it below and bring it signed to the service. We will need one copy signed for each person in attendance. Parents may sign for their minor children. You will only be asked to sign this waiver once by SOVLC. We will keep it on file for future church events.
* Remind you that you must wear a face covering and maintain social distance throughout the gathering.
Children must remain with their parents or guardians at all times.
We will have the men’s and women’s restrooms closest to the sanctuary open for the service. Please keep your face covering on while you are in the restrooms. No more than 2 people may occupy any restroom at any time.
Please maintain social distancing at all times while on SOV Campus. The only exception is for people from the same household. All worship participants will be socially distance from one another as well.
Please bring your own lawn chair to the service, if possible.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new way of worshiping together. As public health authorities update the guidance for worship services, we will adjust our protocols accordingly. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you at our SOV home for what we know will be a welcome gathering in prayer.
